First ever video game development especially for an event and a city !
   • The Project:
The City of Lyon becomes a video-game environment especially conceived for the “Fête des Lumières” 4 nights event! A giant screen will allow everybody to follow and play the game live, in the very center of the action, “place de la Republique”. Using a virtual “Vélo' v”, emblematic means of transport in Lyon, the visitors become players and are invited to gain typical candels, going through all the main points of the city. Who will be the fastest?
   • Origin Of The Game:
The city of Lyon, represented by the PLSI (program in Lyon for the society of information) wished to associate the local actors of the video game of the agglomeration to the festivities of December the 8th. A bid was launched inviting all the members of Lyon Game to propose an animation for the "Fête des Lumières" event. At the end of this bid, the PLSI wished to develop the project proposed by B2B GAMES and Coyote software.
   • Technically:
The city of Lyon will be modelised in 3D and most of the emblematic monuments and places of the city will be on the track raced by the players. 4 players will be able to play simultaneously on 4 giant screens. The scores will be kept over the 4 days making it possible for the players to virtually evaluate their skills in comparison with the other players. The scene will put the 4 players into a surprising situation!!!
   • Note:
- Each race lasts approximately 4/5 minutes according to the players.
- Easy handling game starting from 7years old.
- Live Lan Party uninterrupted from 6 PM to 1 AM, from the 7th until the 10th of December 2006.
